In 2019, BLEFA will be embarking on a trade fair tour taking in four different continents and entering into very close contact with their customers, in particular with those from the craft brewing fraternity. At a total of 8 trade fairs in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa, BLEFA will be represented with their own trade fair stands or by trading partners. A range of new products and concepts will be on show, as well as the entire spectrum of stainless steel kegs that make BLEFA such a trusted partner for all breweries.

Our exhibition year began on 24th January 2019 with the Central European Brewers Conference in Budapest, Hungary. This was an event that particularly appealed to central Europe’s craft brewers and also provided an excellent platform for making new contacts. A number of interesting talks and lectures were on offer, as well as a small but nonetheless outstanding trade exhibition.

Two further trade fairs are on the agenda in March. The SIBA Beer X opens its doors in Liverpool, UK, on 13th April and besides BLEFA, Close Brothers Brewery Rentals (CBBR) will also be attending this event, which is part of the BEVIALE FAMILY (Brau Beviale). Both companies will be presenting a product and services spectrum specially tailored to the UK market. Besides the new BLEFA stainless steel Kegs, this range will also be supplemented by CBBR’s interesting keg rental solutions.

On March 27th, the journey continues to Italy for the Craft Beer Italy, also a BEVIALE FAMILY event. Italy is one of Europe’s fastest growing markets for craft brewers and so, logically, the first trade fair was held here in 2017. Those attending this event will find a broad range of products and services covering the entire brewing industry process chain. In addition to the extensive exhibition, visitors will also be able to gain some insight into the latest trends, technologies and concepts in a range of interesting talks.

This year’s Craft Brewers Conference is being hosted in Denver and will open on 8th April. The CBC is, so to speak, the Mother of all craft brewing fairs and for North America’s craft brewers, it’s more or less a compulsory event that includes numerous interesting talks and lectures, as well as the wide ranging exhibition.

In May, the next fair takes us down to Cape Town, South Africa, in the southern hemisphere. In recent years, the Craft Brewers Powwow has developed into the trade fair for craft brewers on the entire continent of Africa, attracting both large numbers of visitors as well as international exhibitors. Workshops and informative lectures are held, prizes awarded for outstanding brews and products presented in an impressive trade exhibition, all within eyeshot of the famous Table Mountain.

For the summer, we’ll then be returning to Europe to take up our place at the Brewers of Europe trade exhibition. In 2018, the inaugural event was held in Antwerp and was a great success. As with the events already mentions, this too is a combination of trade exhibition and informative lectures.

BLEFA will probably not be attending any more trade fairs until November, but then the 2019 trade fair highlight will take place. The Brau Beviale in Nuremberg has been attracting crowds of national and international brewers since 1978 and can – alongside the Drinktec in Munich – justifiably be regarded as the leading trade fair for the brewing industry. This is a fair that just cannot be missed and so, naturally, BLEFA has been an exhibitor here for many years, presenting our entire product range.

The exciting trade fair year 2019 is then brought to a close in the Far East, as we take off for Japan, the land of the rising sun. Together with our Japanese partner, Nagano Trading, we will set up a joint stand at the Drink Japan and offer Japan’s craft brewers all the advice and assistance we can, while presenting stainless steel kegs “Made in Germany”.

Here you can find an overview of all BLEFA events and it’s always well worth checking to see if any new ones have been included!
